Business challenge
An independent radio station needs a recognisable home for its sound and a reliable way for people to listen across devices. The public experience needs to stay connected to the radio backend so the current track, song progress and recent history follow the broadcast.
The problem
A visual website alone does not deliver the listening experience. Audio playback, changing track information, mobile interruptions and browser limitations all need to work together while the listener explores the station.

What the product needed to do.
- 01
Deliver the complete public website, custom audio player and radio backend integration.
- 02
Keep playback controls available while listeners browse the page.
- 03
Show current-track information, song progress and the five most recent tracks.
- 04
Support desktop and mobile browsers with an installable web app.
- 05
Offer listening options for mobile coverage, data use and timed playback.
A system designed around the operation.
The website brings the station’s identity and listening controls into one responsive interface. A radio backend endpoint provides current-track metadata, timing and playback history, which the player refreshes while listening. The playback layer selects native HLS, hls.js or the configured audio stream as supported by the browser. Optional listening preferences, local favourites and home-screen installation extend the experience beyond a basic embedded player.
